Awesome getaway - secluded and a fantastic spot to relax under the night sky

Our stay at Mazens place was a good one. We stayed 2 days and 2 nights. It's a spacious home with 3 very comfortable rooms and amazingly comfy beds. Make sure to bring any items you may need during your stay as items like salt and pepper, a gas lighter, soap, and any cooking items are not provided. Another thing to note would be that there will be many insects when you wake up in the morning, they'll be all over the kitchen floors, so what me and my partner did was to sweep them and get them out of the way. (They're not harmful but they do fly everywhere). On a better note.. The pool was wonderful and clean and an amazing part of our stay. We loved having so much space and privacy in the many acres this home is located on. Another fun part of our stay was the ping pong table room. We recommend staying over at mazens place if you're looking for privacy and seclusion. Thanks AIR BNB for another great booking.

This place was amazing and Mazen was a wonderful host! If you are looking to get away from the city, onto a relaxing serene trip, this is definitely the place to be. Also, the pool was a very nice touch! Loved it so much!

My stay here was Great! The house is really nice. Place is super secluded. Mazen was a great host very responsive! Definetly recommend if your look a good time in the desert with friends and family lots of space!

This house was the PERFECT location for our desert trip. We were looking for a nice secluded house in the desert, with a pool, that was also big enough for eight people to sleep comfortably. We searched through AirBnB and were discouraged we wouldn't find a secluded place with a pool (most secluded places don't have large pools, most places with large pools are not secluded) until we came across this little gem.

Amazing place that truly makes you feel in the dessert. The house was amazing and the property was amazing to explore. It was great to go swimming during the day and hang out on the porch at night.

Perfect home to disconnect, very peaceful and quiet. Perfect for family with pets, lots of space for them to run and play. Mazen was an awesome host! I recommend this place!! 5 ⭐️

Mazen was such a great and kind host!

Mazen's place was incredibly nice! Spacious, clean and very modern. The bedrooms are big and the beds are comfortable. The pool is a life saver during hot Mojave summers and the 5 acres are great for safely wandering around and stargazing. The only downsides I've noticed are not Mazen's fault in any way but I want to mention it for future travelers - if you're traveling during the summer it gets very hot, even during the night. The AC helps but not that much. Leave the bedroom doors open for a nice breeze! Cold showers that are much needed in the heat are not happening either - the water is always lukewarm. But then there's the pool :) And bugs! Lots and lots of bugs, but if you're going to a house in the middle of nowhere to enjoy the quiet desert you should be ready for that. We even found a baby salamander in the bathroom. So watch your step and be prepared! Mazen was always one text away and responded very quickly to any questions we had. She explained the directions to us and we never got lost or confused. This place is definitely worth booking! It combines the comfort of a nice hotel and the charm of the wilderness of the desert. Me and my friends are definitely coming back, maybe during colder months :)

Booked this place for my boyfriend's birthday since he loved Joshua Tree so much last we were in the area. Property is secluded & nice particularly the pool; garage is a little odd. As most places in the area the night sky is to die for. Given that it is an older house in the desert, bugs and heat are part of the deal; bugs are of the non-biting sort so don't worry about that. Some things to consider due to the extreme heat of Summer & age of the property: showers are hot/warm (not by choice) & water is slow to drain from the tub, the fridge & freezer even on the coldest settings barely kept food/drinks cold but slightly better than room temperature (freezer works but takes much longer to freeze ie. Bottle of water takes >4 hours to freeze) & finally the A.C. barely worked to keep the house down below 85° (early morning). I'm fairly used to heat like this but I can't say my boyfriend or our friends were particularly enjoying the heat. We thought due to the age of the house it just took longer for the A.C. to work so we contacted Mazen fairly late into our stay, but there was not much that could have been done at the time so that's on us. The pool is again a godsend from the heat. Mazen is quick to respond and puts in effort for guests so I don't fault the house's shortcomings on Mazen; just maybe the house needs some upgrades to face the summer heat. All in all good stay.

My stay at Mazen's home was wonderful. This spot is a perfect place to get away from it all to relax and unwind in the desert. Mazen was a wonderful host and made my stay go very smoothly. Everything was excellent.

If you're looking for privacy and seclusion, this is a good spot. Can comfortably accommodate a good number of people. Great for star gazing after a day of hanging in the pool. It's about 20-30 minutes into town so stock up and you're good to go.

Fantastic, secluded location perfect for a quick escape from the city!

If your looking for a beautiful secluded place within short driving distance this is an amazing spot to stay at. Being dog friendly and have a huge lot is also a plus. I would definitely recommend booking this place.

Exactly what I was looking for. Close to Joshua Tree, a fire to roast marshmallows on, a beautiful night sky and comfy beds to sleep in. Bonus points for how amazingly quiet it was when the neighbors' generators shut off for the night.
