I am so beyond thrilled with our booking with Mazen. He was fantastic from start to finish. Communicates well, what was listed was exactly what we got, plus some. The house was spotless and beautiful. All areas inside the home are spacious, beds super comfy, quality linens. So much to do on this property; swimming pool, hot tub, arcade games, pool, ping pong, speakers, lights, BBQ, plus more. The location is very private and peaceful, which was super nice. Whether your 50, or your 5, you will enjoy this property. And Mazen is the definition of a SuperHost. We didnt want to leave. We will definitely be back.

This spot is a desert oasis - pool jacuzzi and games room for the kids - middle of nowhere and awesome star show to boot. Loved it highly recommend it for a family get together and quality hang time.

Great house! Lots of room for activities!

Definitely isolated and quiet. I personally would say if you have a car, check your tires as most of the roads are dirt and rocky. we have a truck so not too bad. clean, spread out, and something for everyone. We will definitely return!

This was our second stay at one of Mazen's properties. Our family will definitely be back again. All the little details he has put in make his homes exceptional. The home was spotless and the property itself was huge. It is gated so we felt safer and our dog was able to roam around freely. My kids enjoyed the game room, it has Arcade games, pool, and a nice music system. It would take hours to get bored in there. My favorite part was the spa area. So much privacy and it has everything needed for fun. We tried getting in the pool, but it was too cold. Great host, great home.

The fun of this place is in its remote location. I can only describe it as “glam-pioneering.” If you’re on the run and need a comfortable hideout to hunker down in, with zero risk of running across another human, you’ll be in heaven. And the wife was fine - I took several zoom Conf calls with no interruption, despite the wild windstorm

The Desert Gem is truly a great experience altogether. If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle this is the place to be. We will definitely return. We loved it!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at Mazen’s place. Location: plenty close to the less crowded side of Joshua Tree N.P. and town of 29 Palms. House is truly in the desert and we didn’t mind the dirt roads. House: house was in good shape and clean. Had what we needed to be comfortable. Extras: hot tub and game room were a BIG hit with our family. We made great use on our downtime outside the park. Hosts: great communication and preparation for our stay. Overall: highly recommend!!

Great relaxing secluded stay. The arcade was a hit with my kid. Very close to Joshua Tree National Park. Mazen was the perfect host.

We have stayed at Mazen’s other properties before, but this truly was a desert gem. Beautiful scenery, peace and quiet, in a well maintained property. We definitely book again in the future.

Overall- great experience. Host is very responsive. If you’re looking for remote, quiet, and clean - this is a great spot. We needed to get out of the LA noise for a couple days and we loved the quiet this location offers. We enjoyed lounging in the Jacuzzi and stargazing at night after a long day of hiking in the NP. Decent Bluetooth speaker in the pool area as well. The house has everything you need for a few nights stay and the beds are comfortable. Like the desert, the appointments in the house are sparse and internet isn’t great. We did have two bars on AT&T and could send messages, check email and browse some social media (was slow to load or lagged). Given the remote location- appreciated the satellite TV with premium channels. Definitely pack in your food etc (and briquettes if you plan to bbq - I forgot those arggg!)- no Postmates or delivery around (which we expected). Highly recommend the cactus cafe for breakfast and it’s only a 15/20 min drive to the Twentynine Palms entrance to Joshua Tree.

Loved staying here! Perfect getaway with the fam. Mazen was very communicative the house was very clean and huge! Definitely would stay again.
